MEET THE TEAM
Di Crawford-ErringtonMANAGING DIRECTOR & SOLUTION PROVIDER
After more than 20 years working in a range of roles, including a technician for an accounting firm, a large corporate and many small businesses, Di founded Ontrack Bookkeeping in 2003.
She recognised a huge gap in the small-to-medium business market for a quality bookkeeping service. Many business owners had no idea where their businesses were at financially until they met with their accountant once a year.
“They are out there doing what they do really well and the numbers side of the business is usually the last thing they want to be doing, either they don’t like doing it, or they don’t know how. Their time is better spent focusing on the core aspects of the business.”
Di says she has loved seeing the business expand, from one client in 2003 to working with more than 200 businesses today, helping them to achieve sustainability and growth.
“I get such a buzz seeing the results for our clients. A lot of our clients have been with us for years, which is a testament to the cost-effective and authentic service we provide. The difference we make to our clients’ businesses is so rewarding. The weight taken off their shoulders, knowing their accounts are up-to-date, their IRD returns are all filed, and they know exactly where they are financially…”
Di is a not your regular office based bookkeeper. She is a cloud based bookkeeper extraordinaire, Xero Certified Partner, a Tax Agent and a Gold Certified Bookkeeper with the Institute of Certified NZ Bookkeepers (ICNZB). She also volunteers her time, previously as Treasurer for Dress For Success Northland and currently as President of the ICNZB.
“We have a fantastic team, who are all highly experienced. We are dedicated to providing a high level of service and support to our clients. This gives me the opportunity to volunteer my time with ICNZB to support bookkeepers from all over NZ.”
It’s Di’s job to secure new business, manage staff and take care of implementation of systems, training, sales, research and development. “One moment I’m the executive decision maker, the next I’m the tea maker.”
Outside work, she enjoys camping, reading, walking and hanging out with family and friends, having a barbecue of a summer evening.
Cheryl ThompsonOFFICE MANAGER
Cheryl joined the team as our Administration superstar in 2014. Cheryl keeps the office organised and ensures all the boxes are ticked – She is our glue. With an administration background in accounting firms and local business’s, her vast experience in a large range of businesses is extremely valuable.
She keeps the office systems streamlined and the work flowing smoothly, and is a huge support to all the team.
Sharon SmithMOBILE BOOKKEEPER
Prior to joining the Ontrack team in February 2016, Sharon was dairy farming as well as doing administration and bookkeeping work for a number of local businesses. All this whilst raising a family.
Sharon is loving being a part of the Ontrack team and really enjoys the vast array of jobs that range from training clients, processing data and reconciling in various accounting packages , preparing GST returns, payroll and PAYE. She has especially enjoyed meeting new clients and helping them with their businesses.

Sharon spends time working onsite with clients and in the Ontrack office using Xero, Ace Payroll, MYOB and is capable in many other packages including Cash Manager.
“When I am not working I am volunteering for our local swimming club and helping with my children’s education, sports and various interests. I love spending time with my family and friends.”
Ismae MeyerSENIOR BOOKKEEPER
With a strong background in bookkeeping and accounting, Ismae is excited to have joined the Ontrack team in June 2018. Based in Whangarei, her career in spreadsheets and numbers started at the age of 17 when she entered the vast world of construction and building as Accounts and Administration for PlaceMakers. Over the years, Ismae worked across all departments and quickly earned herself the unofficial title of ‘go-to-Ismae-for-everything’ Guru and was promoted to Finance and Administration Manager in 2012.
Following her tenure at PlaceMakers, Ismae spent time on the other side of the fence working for nationwide Kitset Housing brand, TRENZ Homes. Her experience in her trade based roles sets her perfectly for supporting our clients in those industries and beyond and we are excited to have her onboard.

Outside of work, you will find Ismae spending time socialising with friends and family, or getting outdoors in the sunshine whenever she can.
Danie PaynePAYROLL ADMINISTRATOR
Danie is the spring chicken of the team, fresh out of the world of Background Screening where she managed a team of Associates. She has also lived in the UK experiencing all of the wonders that Europe has to offer. Danie brings strong administration and QA experience to compliment the Ontrack team.
When shes not working, Danie enjoys travelling, sipping cocktails in the sun, reading books (and occasionally writing them when inspiration strikes) and getting out enjoying all the wonderful things our beautiful little country has to offer.

Jemimah has joined the team fresh from the building & construction industry with experience as an Operational Administrator. Jemimah has payroll, credit control and a credit lending background. Her passion is Customer service & experience.
Jemimah was born in Fiji and raised in Auckland, followed by a move north to Whangarei to settle with her young family.
Outside of work Jemimah is busy with her 3 children and husband, studies Te Ao Maori and helps her extended families. Her hobbies include reading books about Health, partaking at the local gym Fit Finatics and spending time at the beach in the summer.
